Astrological factors of Heart disease Part 1

Astrologically, the heart portion of human body is judged from three houses. The chest is controlled by the third house while the upper and the lower heart portions are controlled by the fourth and the fifth houses respectively. In the Zodiac, these are the signs Gemini, Cancer and Leo in order. The main significators for heart are the Moon and the Sun while Mercury controls the concerned nerve system. The right portions of the heart are signified by the above mentioned three houses and signs while the corresponding left portions are signified by the eleventh, tenth and ninth houses respectively. The corresponding signs in the Zodiac are Aquarius, Capricorn and Saggitarius. The heart diseases are mainly originated from sudden outburst of anger, tensions, anxieties etc. The corresponding significators for the above factors are Mars, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu etc. Mars causes excessive flow of blood through heart due to high pressure while Saturn causes interruptions in the function of heart causing pains. Rahu causes irregular heart activities while Ketu causes sudden heart block. Saturn and Rahu are well known enemies for Moon and Sun. Mars and Ketu are although friendly to Moon and Sun, but Mars in Cancer or Gemini is weak while in Leo its strength is highly increased. Ketu is debilated in Gemini while in Cancer its nature with the sign is mismatching and in Leo it becomes very powerful. Affliction of these houses or their lords in the natal chart or the corresponding signs and their lords in the Zodiac with the malefics and/or sixth, eighth, twelfth houses of the natal chart and/or their lords or the corresponding signs in the Zodiac render the native liable for various diseases related to heart, the exact nature of the disease being determined by the afflicting factors. These astrological factors for heart diseases are illustrated with the following cases: -          

Case 1:

Analysis:-

The native is born under Libra rising with Moon and Rahu posted in the Ascendant and Mars, Saturn and Ketu in the seventh house in mutual aspect. Moon is the significator for heart and the lord of the fourth sign in the Zodiac while Saturn is the fourth and fifth lord of the natal chart. The other significator for heart i.e. the Sun is posted in the fifth house in inimical sign Aquarius and aspected by Rahu. The fourth sign of the Zodiac, Cancer is aspected by strong maraka Mars highly afflicted by malefics. The fourth house of the natal chart is aspected by the lord Saturn debilated in Aries and strongly afflicted by malefics. The Ascendant/eighth lord Venus combined with the sixth lord Jupiter and debilated twelfth lord Mercury (although debilation cancelled due to association of exalted Venus and the sixth lord Jupiter) is hemmed between malefics in the watery sing Pisces thereby enhancing the probability of heart attack. These factors combinedly made the native a victim of heart disease.

Case Study:-

The native lost his father at the very childhood. He has some heart trouble from boyhood which involves sudden blocking of breathing functions.

Analysis:-

The native is born under Cancer rising with the Ascendant lord and the natural significator for heart Moon combined with Ketu occupying the sixth house and aspected by strong Rahu from the twelfth house and fifth lord afflicted Mars from the third house. The fourth house is occupied by sixth lord Jupiter while the fourth lord Venus is exalted in the ninth house in watery sign Pisces exchanging signs with Jupiter and aspected by strong malefics retrograde Saturn and Mars from the third house. The other significator for heart viz. the Sun is posted in Aries crossing the point of weak navamsha and aspected by the afflicted Mars. The fifth lord of the natal chart viz. Mars is also afflicted by malefics. The combination of Saturn and Mars is in the third house of the natal chart which is also the sixth sign of the Zodiac. The third sign of the Zodiac Gemini is occupied malefic Rahu and aspected by afflicted Saturn as also by Moon combined with Ketu. These factors made the native a heart patient in that he feels sudden pains and blocking of heart beat occasionally.

Case Study:-

The native is a central govt. employee. First time a minor attack happened. He had been admitted in P.G Hospital after slight recovery, he was transferred to Vellore for an operation.

Analysis:-

The native is an Aquarian with the Ascendant-cum-twelfth lord posted in the sixth house in Cancer, the natural sign for heart in the Zodiac and exchanging signs with its lord Moon posted in Capricorn in twelfth house. The fourth house is occupied by malefic Mars aspecting the combination of Sun and Mercury in Scorpio, the Sun being the other natural significator for heart and the secondary maraka for the Ascendant and Mercury being the fifth/eighth lord of the natal chart and the significator for the nerve system as well as the lord of the fifth house of the natal chart. The fifth house is hemmed between malefics and aspected by Rahu combined with the fourth lord Venus. The third house of the natal chart is occupied by Ketu and aspected by Rahu combined with Venus as well as by Saturn. The fifth sign of the Zodiac is aspected by Mars. These factors combinedly made the native a sufferer from heart disease.

Case Study:-

The native is a school teacher. He is a heart patient for a long time. He underwent an operation. He is quite well now.

Analysis:

The native is born under Libra rising with the fourth-fifth lord Saturn combined with strong maraka Mars posted in the eighth house and aspected by Ascendant/eighth lord weak Venus, however, gaining strength by exchanging signs with Mars. The fourth house is occupied by twelfth lord Mercury combined with Ketu and aspected by strong Rahu. Fifth house is occupied by weak Moon, the natural significator for heart, and aspected by the lord Saturn combined with Mars. The fourth sign of the Zodiac viz. Cancer is occupied by Rahu and aspected by malefic Saturn combined with Mars. The other significator for heart viz. the Sun is posted in the third house and aspected by third/sixth lord Jupiter from the eleventh house and afflicted Mars from the eighth house. The third sign of the Zodiac viz. Gemini is hemmed between malefics and aspected by Rahu. The fifth sign of the Zodiac viz. Leo is occupied by third/sixth lord Jupiter and aspected by malefic Mars combined with Saturn. As the result, the native became a strong heart patient but the deposition of the sixth lord and the strong natural benefic Jupiter in the house of recovery i.e. eleventh house made the native overcome the troubles and gaining recovery.

Analysis:-

It is the case of a Capricornian native with debilated Jupiter combined with strong enemy Venus in the Ascendant. The fourth lord Mars combined with malefic and maraka Saturn is posted in the eighth house in Leo. Fifth lord Venus joined with inimical planet Jupiter is in Ascendant aspecting the fourth sign of the Zodiac viz. Cancer which is also aspected by Rahu from Pisces. Lord of the sign Cancer viz. Moon, the significator for heart is posted in the fifth house of the natal chart and aspected by malefic Saturn combined with Mars from the eighth house as also by the combination of eighth lord Sun and the sixth lord Mercury from Scorpio, the fixed watery sign. The sign Leo, the other significator for heart is occupied by Saturn and Mars. Its lord Sun combined with sixth lord Mercury is posted in the eleventh house and aspected by afflicted Moon, afflicted Mars and afflicted Rahu (Rahu is aspected by malefic Mars from the eighth house). The sixth sign of the Zodiac viz. Virgo is occupied by malefic Ketu, aspected by Rahu and debilated Jupiter. These combinations resulted in heart disease for the native.
